Rebuilding in Pacific Palisades with Cold-Formed Steel
This Pacific Palisades home is where Wheeler Residential Steel Supply’s story began. After the wildfire, the home’s cold-formed steel structure remained standing while much of the surrounding community was devastated. We’re documenting its rebuild—and applying decades of residential steel framing experience to new rebuilds throughout Pacific Palisades and Southern California.
This is a residential rebuild in Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles, following the wildfire, framed with a project-specific cold-formed steel framing system that replaces structural wood in the load-bearing walls, floors and roof.
This page documents the residential rebuild currently under construction, framed with a project-specific cold-formed steel framing package. It will expand as additional project photography and updates are approved for publication.

REBUILDING IN PACIFIC PALISADES?
This home started our story. Today, Wheeler Residential Steel Supply works with homeowners, architects, structural engineers and builders on residential cold-formed steel projects throughout Pacific Palisades and Southern California.
Wheeler Residential Steel Supply works with homeowners, architects, structural engineers and builders evaluating cold-formed steel framing for residential rebuilds in Pacific Palisades and other fire-prone Los Angeles communities.
Each framing package is engineered for the project’s approved architectural and structural drawings. Construction classification, fire-resistance-rated assemblies and final scope are determined by the project’s licensed design professionals and the applicable building authority.
